CHUNG WAH FUNDRAISING DINNER

CHUNG WAH FUNDRAISING DINNER

On 25th May, the President of the WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce attended the Chung Wah Fundraising Dinner for the Bentley Community Centre Building Fund. Esteemed guests included Sam Lim MP – Member for Tangney, Hon Kate Doust MLC, and Amanda Spencer-Teo – Deputy Mayor of the City of Canning.

This event plays a crucial role in securing the necessary funds to construct the Chung Wah Community Centre in Bentley. The future Community Centre is planned to serve multiple purposes, including hosting community functions, providing aged care respite services, and acting as a hub for cultural activities. It is designed to be a welcoming space for the Chinese community south of the river, while also being available for use by other communities.

Chung Wah has set an ambitious fundraising goal for Stage 1, aiming to raise $1 million by December 2024.
