Happy Chinese New Year – 2025

Happy Chinese New Year – 2025

Snakes can sometimes have a negative connotation towards them…

However the snake is also a positive symbol being known as little dragons (xiaolong 小龍), and the skin snakes shed is referred to as the dragon’s coat (longyi 龍衣), symbolising good luck, rebirth and regality

The snake also symbolises the pursuit of love and happiness, a theme beautifully illustrated in the traditional folk tale, ‘The Legend of the White Snake’

The perfect metaphor for a snake would be “Don’t judge a book by its cover” as you never know what majestic riches lie inside

This Chinese New Year is about looking at the positives the snake can bring and shedding away the negatives

At the WACCC we wish all our members, sponsors and the wider community a very happy and prosperous Chinese New Year in 2025!
