On 22nd April, 2024, the Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce (WACCC) and Tony Chong welcomed a delegation from Huzhou, China, to present “Beautiful China in Huzhou”, an investment promotion conference held by the Zhejiang Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Bureau of Commerce.
Mr She Guoqin, President of the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Zhao Ruixiang, Vice President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce of Western Australia, Mr Cheong Chew, Vice President at the WACCC, Diana Phang, Manager of Strategic Partnerships at the Invest and Trade Department of WA Government, Ting Chen, President of the Chung Wah Association Inc., and others attended the event.
Deputy Consul General, Wang Fengzhong of the Consulate General in Perth attended and in his address, said that “China-Australia relations are currently at an important stage of overall stabilisation and improvement, and the two countries have complementary economic and trade advantages and are mutually beneficial.”
It is hoped that the Huzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade, The Western Australia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Western Australia Investment And Bureau will continue to facilitate economic and trade exchanges between China and Western Australia, especially cooperation in industries related to new productivity.
She Guoqin, Zhao Ruixiang, Peng Xiulin and others said that “Huzhou has huge potential for economic and trade cooperation with Western Australia and is willing to work together to continuously open up new areas for economic and trade cooperation between China and Western Australia.
