FEAR OF COVID-19 AND WILLINGNESS TO FLY OF MILLENNIALS

The travel industry has been severely impacted by COVID-19. Going forward, both international and domestic travel restriction will ease with rising levels of vaccination, as we all learn to β€œlive with the virus”. How will it all pan out?

Our speaker, Dr Jianhong Cecilia Xia, is an academic expert on travel and tourism. She is an associate Professor and senior lecturer in the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Curtin University. Her area of expertise lies in Geospatial Sciences and human mobility studies. Dr Xia has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and book chapters, and she has also been awarded over a million dollars in research grants from government agencies, industries and the Australian Research Council since 2005.

Dr Xia will discuss her research findings on impact of COVID-19 to travel.

  • Download and install the SafeWA app on your mobile phone. All guests entering the premises will be required to scan the QR code provided at the entrance (or leave details on the contact register if you do not have the mobile app).

The event is finished.
