Stephen Choo

Dr Stephen Choo is a seasoned business leader, board director, and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience spanning Asia and Australia across sectors including education, consulting, technology, and human capital.

Stephen is the CEO of DSRInsight, a consultancy specialising in market expansion, executive development, and cross-border collaboration. He also serves as Associate Director of Humanostics, an international partner of The Predictive Index, helping organisations optimise talent through behavioural and cognitive assessment solutions.

He currently serves on several boards, including the ABC Advisory Council, where he contributes to national discussions on media diversity and public engagement; Geniusto International, a fintech firm focused on digital banking and payments innovation; and the Executive Council of the Western Australia Chinese Chamber of Commerce (WACCC), where he also chairs the WACCC Youth Committee.

Previously, Stephen served as Head of Advancement (Faculty of Business & Law) at Curtin University, where he led fundraising, scholarships, and industry partnerships to support teaching, research and engagement. He was honoured by the University of Western Australia with a Doctor of Commerce for his contributions to Asia engagement, having served as Chair of the UWA Business School Ambassadorial Council and President of the UWA Alumni Network in Singapore.

As a Director of the WACCC Foundation, Stephen plays a key role in shaping strategy, building partnerships, and advancing philanthropic programs that support the next generation of globally minded leaders. His passion for strengthening Australia–Asia ties and his experience across sectors position him well to contribute to the Foundation’s long-term impact and legacy.
