WACCC Youth Committee Hosts Inaugural Business & Brews
On Saturday, 25 July 2026, the WACCC Youth Committee hosted its inaugural Business & Brews at Raffles Hotel, with the generous support of PKF Australia.
The event was developed as an opportunity to bring together young professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders from across Western Australia’s business community in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
A Strong Response from the Community
The response to the inaugural event exceeded expectations, with registrations more than doubling the original capacity and attendees arriving before doors officially opened.
Throughout the morning, the room brought together people from a diverse range of industries, professions and backgrounds. Conversations moved naturally between business, careers, new ideas and shared experiences, creating an environment where attendees could meet beyond their usual professional circles and establish new connections.
The strong turnout reflected a genuine appetite for opportunities that bring people together in an accessible and informal setting.
Creating Opportunities for Meaningful Connection
Business & Brews reflects an important part of the WACCC Youth Committee’s purpose: creating opportunities for the next generation of business and community leaders to connect, exchange perspectives and become more actively engaged with the broader WACCC community.
While there are now more ways than ever to connect professionally, there remains considerable value in meeting face-to-face. Strong professional relationships rarely develop from a single interaction, but they often begin with a conversation.
It was particularly encouraging to see attendees approach the morning with that spirit – openly introducing themselves, sharing their experiences and taking a genuine interest in the people around them.

Through initiatives such as Business & Brews, the WACCC Youth Committee seeks to provide meaningful opportunities for emerging professionals and business leaders to broaden their networks, exchange ideas and build relationships across industries and communities.
