On the evening of June 26, 2024, WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce hosted Mr Glenn Butcher of FundWA for a special networking evening.
Our guest speaker Mr Glenn Butcher, is CEO and Managing Director of FundWA, a leading Western Australian venture capital firm championing innovative and tech-enabled start-ups, gave an inspiring and informative presentation about his motivations for heading up FundWA.
He highlighted the many opportunities and amazing talents across various industries, with ideas and businesses that FundWA has mentored, financially supported and guided to become significant global-scale commercial successes.
Glenn and his marvellous team, including Pia Turcinov AM, A/Prof Michael Nguyen, Asheesh Malaney, Glenn Murray and Trent Rachow, shared their perspectives on the VC scene both locally, across the Nullarbor and overseas, presenting some notable statistics and highlighting how Western Australia punches well above its weight in the innovation space.
