Our speaker Mr Glenn Butcher is the CEO and Managing Director of FundWA, a leading West Australian venture capital firm championing innovative and tech enabled WA start-ups. FundWA’s portfolio is based around the wealth of talent and creativity in our State. Portfolio companies range from disruptive med-tech firms to sustainability pioneers.

Glenn started his career at the WA medical research organisation Telethon Kids Institute. He was an early employee at the software company Atlassian, where he led Atlassian’s transformation to deliver its products via software-as-a-service. He then held executive roles at multiple start-ups and scaling companies, as well as a founding role at Amazon Australia, before entering venture capital.

Aside from his current leadership role at FundWA, Glenn is also Chairman or director at four technology companies / start-ups. He is also a venture partner at the CP Ventures, a successful Sydney based venture capital group.

Glenn will introduce FundWA and discuss its role in shaping the future of innovation in our State. The evening will also showcase two FundWA’s portfolio companies, being:
