Guanxi with Mr Sam Lim MP – Postponed

With ongoing opportunities and challenges of doing business here and in the Asia Pacific region, the core of your business success is GUANXI or relationships – establishing, building and maintaining them.

This Event is postponed due to the speaker’s need to travel to Canberra for revised Parliamentary Sittings.

It has now been rescheduled to November 16.

There will be no event at the Chamber on September 21, normal events will resume on September 28.

Relationship and Journey to the Australian Parliament

Our speaker Sam Lim has become a celebrity in Australia and aboard after his unexpected victory at the May Federal election. The story of his journey from humble beginnings in Malaysia to the Australian Parliament, with tours of duty along the way including dolphin training and the Western Australian Police, has now been well publicised.

Sam is no stranger to our Chamber. He presented on two previous occasions – as the Diversity Engagement Officer at the WA Police (March 2020), and then as the pre-selected Labor candidate for the Federal seat of Tangney (September 2021).

On this third occasion, as the Member for Tangney, Sam will talk about how relationships (guanxi) contributed along his journey to the Australian Parliament, and his plans going forward.

Cost:

Member – Free

Non-member – $20 (incl. GST)

The event is finished.
